Panoramic tour of Civitavecchia

You’re on a Cruise and you’re staying in Civitavecchia for 8 hours? Don’t miss Rome’s appeal, with CTP’s well-planned tours!

The private driver,who will also be your guide during this unforgettable tour, will be waiting for you at your cruise ship dock. Your guide will take you straight to Rome’s center, and after the guided tour through the beauties of the Eternal City, he will take you back to Civitavecchia and make sure you get back on your cruise ship

First stop: “Vatican City”

You will have 4 hours of free time to visit and admire St. Peter’s Basilica and the Vatican Museums, and your chaperon will be waiting for you in aprearranged location.

Second stop: “Ancient Rome”

The second part of the panoramic tour will take you straight to the heart of Ancient Rome. Passing through Campo Marzio (Field of Mars), Largo Argentina Square, Venice Square, Capitoline Square, Imperial Fora boulevard, arriving to the Flavian Amphitheater: the Coliseum, where you’ll have 30/40 minutes of free time to admire this monument and UNESCO World Heritage site.  From here, the tour will proceed toward Rome’s center.

Third stop: “Rome’s center”

Enjoy looking at the famous Trevi Fountain, where you’ll have 2 hours of free time to eat a delicious gelato or a slice of pizza or to go shopping on the well-known “Via del Corso”. Your guide will explain how to go on a perfect walk from the Trevi Fountain heading toward Piazza della Rotonda, which houses the Pantheon. At the end of your walk, you will be able to enjoy Piazza Navona and its fountains: Fontana del Moro, Fontana del Nettuno and Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi (Fountain of the Four Rivers), where your guide will be waiting for you.

From here, your driver will take you back to Civitavecchia’s port, with plenty of time to get back on your cruise ship.

We remind you that tourist groups are not allowed inside St. Peter’s Basilica during religious services and functions. If the Vatican organizes an event and decides to close access to the public, CTP is not responsible and will not refund the trip. Museum entry prices are not included.
